Origin: Monzambano, Lombardy, Italy

Winemaking: The grapes, picked the last week of September and the first of October, after destemming undergo red vinification and are left to macerate for a reletively long period with frequent pumping over for the extraction of colour and the characteristic varietal smells. After racking it is left for one year in tonneaux and then 10 months in bottles which is fundamental for maturing properly .

Tasting notes: Its garnet red in colour and has an intial red fruit bouquet that then leads to the stronger smells of tobacco and leather. It is full bodied and harmoniously balanced with elegant softness due to its aging in tonneaux.

Pairing: This is a wine to be drunk with heavier meat dishes, with game and strong cheeses.
