Description: Bodegas Tobía is the vital project of Óscar Tobía. Project that was born in San Asensio in 1994, with the purpose of making wines with trapío, distinguished, distinguishable and universal, always keeping in mind our Rioja DNA and the French influence, in our three brands: Tobía, Óscar Tobía, Alma Tobía.
Since its inception, it has been characterized by a creative, innovative and non-conformist spirit that, together with its values of honesty, creativity, dedication and a loyal team, mark a trajectory of more than 25 years marked by national and international awards and prizes with milestones such as the production of the first barrel-fermented rosé in Spain: Alma Tobía in 1996 and obtaining the Internationalization Award from the Chamber of Commerce of La Rioja in 2002.
Since 2010, the modern facilities of Bodegas Tobía have been located in Rioja Alta, in Cuzcurrita del Río Tirón, in a privileged environment to continue innovating and growing.
Tasting notes: This deep-garnet colored wine has a nose of black cherry, cedar chest and freshly ground black pepper. Notes of dark chocolate, clove and cinnamon back up black-currant and blackberry flavors that are encased in a framework of rigid, palate-coating tannins.
Pairing: Perfect match for Spanish cured meats, Iberian cured ham, mature cheese, poultry casseroles, white meat and roast meat such as lamb.
