CHATEAU TALBOT ST-JULIEN, CONNETABLE 2011
HK$340.00 inc. tax
Type: Red wine
Vintage: 2011
Grapes: Cabernet sauvignon, merlot
Origin: Margaux, Saint Julien, Medoc, France
Description: The château takes its name from the Connétable Talbot, an English soldier and governor of Guyenne who was defeated in battle by the French at Castillon in 1453. For the last century it has been owned by members of the Cordier family, one of the most notable surnames in Bordeaux wine.
Tasting notes: Plummy notes over red and black berry, cream, sweet spice, liquorice. Juicy, crunchy fruit; plums and berries, grippy, slightly green but not too hard. Muted liquorice joins on the finish. Very Pleasant.
Pairing: An excellent pairing for beef dishes. Also enjoyable with cheeses like mature cheddar, Comté or goat cheese.
Alcohol content: 13%
