Côte Rôtie - Les murets - Maison Brotte - 2018
Type: Red Wine
Vintage: 2018
Grapes: Syrah
Origin: Côte rôtie, Northern Rhône, France.
Winery: Brotte
Description: Côte Rôtie is a prestigious red-wine appellation at the northern tip of France's Rhône Valley wine region. The Syrah vines on its steep, south-east-facing slopes produce wines that are both powerful and elegant. Côte Rôtie wines are now some of France's most sought-after and most expensive.
Tasting notes: Les Murets reveals a very dark purple robe with purple reflections. The nose offers a very rich and racy aromatic palette on the fruit, blackberry, raspberry, blackcurrant accompanied by more wild notes on licorice, spices, musk, smoky notes as well as a touch of violet.
Pairing: Lamb is a great choice for this lighter style of Syrah. If you’re preparing it yourself, play with your spice rack to magnify the natural flavors in Syrah of allspice, clove, and mint.
